The elegant San Rafael Coaster is handwoven on the traditional backstrap loom by weavers in Rabinal. Each coaster features a Mayan star brocade accent in the center and a decorative border, both similar to designs that are worn in the beautiful huipiles(blouses) worn by women in their community. These coasters coordinate with our popular San Rafael Table Runners and Placemats.
