Textile factories in Guatemala generate lots of scraps-- most of which are thrown away. The thread used in these pieces is sourced from a project that reduces waste by transforming these off-cuts into new-spun thread. Finally, Maya women weavers transform the recycled thread into finely crafted, handwoven works of art.
